Putting an end to speculations of rift between
JD-U and BJP in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday said his
both the parties will contest the next Lok Sabha elections together.
"JD-U
and BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) will contest together from all 40
parliamentary seats in Bihar," Nitish Kumar told media persons here.
He ruled out any rift between the two parties, which are partners in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Early this month, state BJP president CP Thakur said his party was preparing to contest from all 40 seats in the state.
His remarks drew a strong response from some senior JD-U leaders, who said their party too will contest all 40 seats alone.
