Lady Gaga’s parents are no hit with the city’s health inspectors.
Joanne Trattoria, the Upper West Side Italian joint owned by the pop
princess’ mom and dad, got a barf-inducing “C” grade from the Department
of Health for hygiene and cleanliness problems.
Joanne — owned by Joseph and Cynthia Germanotta — was hit with
“critical” violations that included unwashed food-prep surfaces, no
hand-washing facilities close to the kitchen and food placed in areas
ripe for contamination.
The demerits totaled 42 points — well above the 0 to 13 points for an “A,” or the 14 to 27 for a “B.”
The restaurant was given two placards it could place in the front window — a “C” or a “grade pending.”
