The humble Maruti 800, which till the
late nineties used to be a dream car for most of the middle class
families, is all set to hit the market in a new avatar.
During its launch in 1983 very few people had imagined that the car
would go on to generate such a huge response and become an integral part
of the Indian Middle class family. And on Tuesday when it is being
launched in a new form, the excitement among the people to buy the car
is the same as it was 29 years back.
Meanwhile, the new Maruti Alto 800 will be equipped with new
technology. The interiors of the car will be much improved making it
more comfortable. The new Maruti Alto 800 will also be available in CNG
version.
Maruti Suzuki India is looking to regain lost ground in the small car
segment with the launch of the completely new version of the car.

5. 23 km/L mileage in petrol version and 30km/Per kg gas
6. Tough competition for Hyundai Eon, Tata Nano and Chevrolet Spark
7. Cost of entry level Rs 2.5 lakh and top model Rs 3.4 lakh. The cost will increase by Rs 50,000 for CNG model.
