Exasperated over Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor’s marriage with Saif Ali Khan without her conversion to Islam, renowned Islamic institution Darul Uloom has declared the wedding as anti-Islam. The Islamic institution located at Deoband, a town in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, has said that the Kareena married to Saif due to her vested interest which is against Islamic norms.

Declaring a Fatwa (religious ruling as per Islamic law issued by an Islamic scholar) against the October 16 marriage of the two Bollywoood stars, Habib ur Rahman, the senior cleric of Darul Uloom, categorically said Kareena’s decision not to convert to Islam before her marriage with a Muslim male, Saif Ali Khan, shows that she was motivated by some vested interest. Islam never approves such acts. Had both of them been Muslims, the marriage would definitely have been religious.

Another cleric Mohammad Arif has also made scathing remarks against the marriage saying the norms practiced under Islam have been violated. Mufti Umar Ilahi expressed that Kareena remaining Hindu even after her marriage to Saif is totally against the canons of Islamic rules.

Bollywood star couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor on October 16 tied the knot in a quiet affair after a five-year courtship.

Saif, 42, son of late Nawab of Pataudi and former Indian cricket captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and actress Sharmila Tagore, sealed his relationship with Kareena, 32, at his residence in suburban Bandra through a registered marriage.

The wait for bollywood’s most awaited and biggest matrimonial affair finally ends today. The Nawab of Patuadi, Saif Ali Khan and daughter of bollywood’s oldest family Kareena Kapoor are set to tie the nuptial knot today after being into a relationship for five years.

According to the sources, their wedding is going to be a royal private affair which will be attended by very close family members and friends.

A registered marriage will be held on Tuesday at Saif’s residence in suburban Bandra, which will be a quiet affair.

    

"The marriage registration will happen today between 11.30 am and 12 pm at Fortune Heights in Bandra," marriage registrar Surekha Ramesh said.

    

"The notice had been submitted on September 12 and that they had requested that the registry be held at their residence. For the formalities, we will charge Rs 1,000," she said.

Reception    

After the marriage registration is over, there is a buzz that a reception will be held on Wednesday at the Taj Mahal hotel in the evening. This will be followed by another reception in Delhi on October 18. There will be yet another ceremony happening at the Pataudi Palace in Haryana.

Another pre-wedding related event of Bollywood star couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor was held at the Taj Mahal Hotel here in Colaba on Monday.
  
There was a family dinner at Taj Mahal Hotel this evening attended only by members of both the families.
  
The 42-year-old actor has two children--son Ibrahim and daughter Sara--from his previous marriage to actress Amrita Singh.

Saifeena to stay in Pataudi Palace

Though their marriage will not be held in Saif’s ancestral Pataudi Palace, but if the facts are to be believed Saif and Kareena will live in the palatial house till October 21. Soon after the marriage, Kareena will become the ‘Begum’ and her family members will go to the Pataudi Palace to meet her.
